Sending Your First Inventory to Elevation Distribution

Purpose

This guide explains how to prepare, label, and send your first inventory shipment to Elevation Distribution. Following these procedures helps ensure faster receiving, accurate inventory check-in, and smooth fulfillment activation inside the Elevation Distribution Fulfillment Portal (FCP).


1. Log Into Your Fulfillment Portal

Before shipping inventory, confirm that:

  • Your Elevation Distribution account is active

  • Your products and SKUs are already created in the system

Access your Fulfillment Portal at:

If your SKUs have not yet been created, complete the product setup process before sending inventory.


Bulk SKU Upload Assistance

If you have a large catalog or multiple SKUs, your Elevation Distribution onboarding representative can provide:

  • SKU import templates

  • Bulk upload assistance

  • Product setup support

This helps accelerate onboarding and reduce setup errors.


2. Prepare Your Products & SKUs

Every product arriving at the warehouse must include:

  • A unique SKU

  • Accurate product descriptions

  • Proper labeling

  • Correct packaging


Product Labeling Requirements

Each item must include:

  • A visible barcode or SKU label

  • Scannable product identification

  • Consistent SKU formatting

Important:

If products arrive without compliant labeling, additional prep or relabeling fees may apply.

Bundled Products

Multi-unit kits or bundles must:

  • Be securely packaged together

  • Be shrink-wrapped or poly-bagged

  • Display a single external SKU label

Each bundle must be treated as one sellable unit.


Inventory Insurance

Inventory remains the property and responsibility of the client.

Elevation Distribution recommends maintaining:

  • Transit insurance

  • Inventory coverage

  • Freight protection

for all products shipped to and stored within fulfillment facilities.


3. Choose a Shipping Method

Use the following shipping recommendations for inbound inventory.


Small Parcel Shipments

Recommended For:

  • Shipments under 200 lbs

Suggested Carriers:

  • UPS Ground

  • FedEx Ground


Freight Shipments

Recommended For:

  • Shipments over 200 lbs

  • Palletized inventory

  • Large inbound transfers

Shipping Methods:

  • LTL Freight

  • FTL Freight


Freight Coordination Support

Elevation Distribution may offer:

  • Preferred carrier pricing

  • Freight coordination assistance

  • Inbound logistics support

International Shipments

For imported products:

  • Clients are responsible for customs brokerage arrangements

  • All import documentation must be completed before delivery

  • Duties, taxes, and customs clearance must be resolved prior to warehouse receiving

If needed, Elevation Distribution can provide referrals for customs brokerage partners.


4. Warehouse Shipping Address & Labeling

Every inbound carton or pallet must display:

  • Your company name

  • Receiving information

  • Shipment reference details


Required Shipping Label Information

Each label must include:

  • Your Company Name

  • Attn: Receiving Department

  • Purchase Order (PO) Number

  • Warehouse Address

  • Suite / Unit Information (if applicable)

Important Receiving Guidelines

Carton & Pallet Labeling

  • Affix at least one label to every box or pallet

  • Remove old or conflicting shipping labels

  • Ensure all products inside are properly labeled


Mixed SKU Shipments

If multiple SKUs are packed together:

  • Separate them into clearly labeled inner cartons or bags

  • Group identical SKUs together whenever possible


Freight Delivery Scheduling

Freight deliveries should:

  • Be scheduled during receiving hours

  • Include the PO Number on all paperwork

  • Clearly identify your company as the shipment owner

Improper or incomplete documentation may delay receiving.


5. Submit an Advanced Shipment Notice (ASN)

Before inventory arrives, you must notify Elevation Distribution by submitting an ASN through the Fulfillment Portal.


ASN Submission Steps

  • Carrier name

  • Tracking number

  • PO number

  • Number of boxes or pallets

  • SKU quantities included in the shipment


Packing List Requirements

Every shipment must include:

  • A physical packing list inside the shipment

If a physical packing list is unavailable:

  • Upload a digital version through the support portal before delivery


6. What to Expect After Delivery

Once your shipment arrives at the warehouse, the receiving process begins.


Standard Receiving Timeline

Typical receiving time:

  • 2–3 business days after carrier delivery


Additional Processing Time

Additional prep services such as:

  • Labeling

  • Poly bagging

  • Kitting

  • Bundling

may require:

  • An additional 2–3 business days


Inventory Inspection & Verification

During receiving, Elevation Distribution may:

  • Count all units received

  • Inspect inventory condition

  • Verify SKU accuracy

  • Record product dimensions and weights

  • Confirm packaging compliance

This process helps ensure:

  • Accurate inventory reporting

  • Correct shipping calculations

  • Reliable fulfillment performance
